Wiggle

Here’s how to do the wiggles:

  1. Stand with your feet about as wide apart as your shoulders. If standing is difficult or not possible for you, stay seated and sit upright or lay down on a flat surface like a bed or the floor.
  2. Gently start shaking your whole body. Just let your arms, legs, and body move freely. If you are seated or laying down, just move your arms and upper body, getting creative with how you wiggle your arms, head, and shoulders.
  3. Keep wiggling for about a minute or two. You can even close your eyes and imagine all the energy flowing through your body.
  4. After shaking for a bit and noticing the energy feeling almost all the way released, start slowing down your wiggles until you come to a still position.
  5. Take a moment to notice how your body feels now. How do your hands feel? Does your body feel heavy or light? Are you out of breath? Honor any sensations you feel in your body.
  6. Take a second to catch your breath and soak in the calmness you feel. 

The wiggles are something you can do anytime you want to get a break from uncomfortable energy caused by gender dysphoria or to feel more relaxed. Remember, it’s all about having fun and feeling the good vibes in your body!
